ABOUT: The objective of this project was to ceate a visually engaging event poster for the 2022 Martini Shake Off, themed “Under the Big Top.” The goal was to capture the festive and nostalgic spirit of a vintage circus while maintaining the sophistication of a martini competition, driving attendance and excitement for this annual fundraising event.
SOLUTION: The bold, carnival-style fonts for "Martini Shake Off" create an instant visual impact, reminiscent of vintage marquee signs inviting guests to a spectacle. This typographic choice sets the stage for a playful and thrilling experience while maintaining a sense of elegance suitable for the event. The vibrant reds, yellows, and blues dominate the composition, capturing the energy and boldness of traditional circus posters. The festive stars and banners further enhance this vintage aesthetic, establishing a lively and celebratory atmosphere to excite potential attendees.

At the center of the poster, the dynamic splash from the martini glass serves as a focal point, conveying the action and excitement of the event. The inclusion of black-and-white images of bartenders—reflecting classic circus performers—adds a touch of authenticity to the poster. These figures echo the sense of showmanship and performance that attendees could expect.
By using nostalgic elements, bold typography, and a vibrant color palette, the design captures the spirit of adventure and playfulness that HAVlife’s Martini Shake Off embodies. It invites the audience not just to attend an event, but to step into an experience
